Heading the Republican and Democratic Parties Might Be the Worst Job in the World
Election 2016 has been a rough one for the chairs of the Democratic and Republican National Committees. Leaked emails took down DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz over the summer, and now, another batch of hacked emails pose a threat to her replacement, Donna Brazile. RNC chairman Reince Priebus has his hands full with Donald Trump, but he's definitely not pouring Baileys on his cereal over it...or maybe he is. John Aristotle Phillips, CEO of U.S.-based prediction market PredictIt, acknowledged heading the DNC and RNC hasn't been a fun job this election cycle. Perhaps luckily for the current chairs, they won't have to hold on much longer. Investors on PredictIt give Priebus a 57% chance of resigning his post before November 30, and just 31% of investors expect Brazile to maintain her post in 2017.
