Halifax Group-Backed Nutrition Physiology Is Sold to Chr. Hansen
Halifax Group has agreed to sell microbial technology company Nutrition Physiology to Chr. Hansen Holding A/S for $185 million.
Private equity firm Halifax Group said it has agreed to sell microbial technology company Nutrition Physiology to Danish bioscience firm Chr. Hansen Holding A/S for an enterprise value of $185 million. A source familiar with the situation told The Deal that the transaction resulted from a limited auction process that targeted only strategic players. Overland Park, Kan.-based Nutrition Physiology is a developer and marketer of probiotic products for commercial livestock. The company has 52 employees. Nutrition Physiology had revenue of $41 million and Ebitda of $10 million last year, according to a statement from Chr. Hansen. Nutrition Physiology is led by chairman and CEO Tony Arnold.
