'Greening of Asia' Has Chinese Solar Stocks Ready to Shine

The pollution in China has reached crisis levels and the government is reacting with policies that are opening up investing opportunities, said Mark Clifford, author of 'The Greening of Asia.' Clifford added that 1.2 million people prematurely died in China last year due to air pollution and the government spent $89 billion on clean technologies in 2014. He said green jobs are growing in China, as well as India and Indonesia where pollution is also a problem, and that will offset the negative economic impacts of stricter environmental regulations. Finally, Clifford said solar players like JinkoSolar are in a good position to benefit from the changes in the country.
