Greek Finance Minister Dismisses Reports That Greek Could Default on Debt Repayments
The Greek Finance Minister has dismissed reports that were published in a German newspaper that the country could default on its debt repayments in July.
Euclid Tsakalotos told Reuters that "Bild has distorted what I said yesterday. I never said that Greece would not repay debt in July. There is no such issue."
Tsakalotos also urged the Eurozone to reach a deal on debt relief soon and end their "procrastination".
Greece's national debt currently sits at nearly 180% of annual output.
