Richard Hanano is going very long on Kenny Likitprakong's wines. Hanano, the director of operations at Pure Liquid Wine & Spirits at the Westfield World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan, has ordered 20 of Likitprakong's wines for his new shop, and many are perfect for Thanksgiving with their light, fresh style and palate-cleansing acidity. For an aromatic, refreshing white, try the Banyan 2015 Monterey County Gewurtztraminer ($15), which has a touch of sweetness and notes of lychee, melon and tropical fruit

Likitprakong offers reds ranging from the light to the robust. Two wines from his Folk Machine label fall into the former category: the 2015 Redwood Valley Valdigué ($25) and his Central Coast Pinot Noir ($22), both of which have light berry notes, very gentle tannins, and a palate-cleansing acidity. The Ghostwriter 2014 Santa Cruz County Syrah ($30) has dark fruit on the nose and a savory quality on the palate, while the Hobo 2012 Branham Vineyard Rockpile Zinfandel from Sonoma County has good fruit and a touch of soy sauce on the nose and would be perfect with a steak when you've had enough turkey.
