Stocks neared session lows in midday trading Wednesday on worries of a slowing global economy. The Dow shed nearly 250 points. The S&P and Nasdaq also lost value. That came after disappointing retail data and bank earnings kicked off the morning. Plus, GoPro cameras are on the rebound after a sell-off yesterday. During a down day for stocks, GoPro shares surged for two percent following a sell-off after Apple revealed it would compete with the camera maker. Losses stacked up, though, especially for Freeport McMoran, taking a hit on copper prices.
