Google Unveils Two Improvements to Its Privacy, Security Controls
Google (GOOG) is stepping up its user privacy controls. The company announced two improvements on Monday: a new hub for users to manage their Google settings called 'My Account' and a new site that answers important questions about privacy and security on Google. Through My Account, users can take privacy and security check-ups, manage information that can be used from Search, Maps, YouTube and other Google products and control ads. Users can now also control which apps and sites are connected to their accounts. Google said 'My Account' provides more context to help users understand their options and make the right choices for them. Through the new site privacy.google.com, users can find answers to questions pertaining to their personal data and keeping themselves safe online. Google said through the site, people can find answers to common questions like 'What data does Google collect?' and 'What tools do I have to control my Google experience?'
