Google Sets Its Sights on the Skies With Drone Delivery Tests

In the battle for the skies, Google has flown under the radar with its own plans to develop drones technology. Until now, much of the media attention has been directed towards Amazon’s calls for rights to airspace. Now, the tech company has unveiled its top-secret experiments as part of its Google X research and development arm. Google X, which develops cutting-edge and ambitious new technologies such as driverless cars, has built a prototype delivery drone and successfully tested it in rural Australia. Google said it hopes the drones could eventually be used as same-day delivery vehicles.
