Google Is Reportedly in the Final Stages of Acquiring HTC

Alphabet Inc (GOOGL) - Get Report and its Google division are reportedly in the final stages of acquiring HTC. The Commercial Times suggested Google could snap up all or part of the Taiwan-based company.
HTC has recently launched a separate division for VR headsets. The Taiwanese tech company is currently responsible for building the Google Pixel.
The news comes shortly after stories emerged that HTC has explored the possibility of a sale.
