Google detailed its smartwatch operating system Android Wear at its I/O annual developer conference in San Francisco on Wednesday. The company said users' smartwatches running on Android Wear will operate as an extension of their phones. Users will be able to download apps directly to their phones in order to get them on their watches. Notifications on a user's watch can be dismissed by swiping the screen, which will also cause the notification to disappear from the user's phone. Google said the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live are available to order in the U.S. now. The Motorola Moto 360 will be available later this summer.
