Goldman Revises Walmart & Costco Call, Bernstein Bullish on Juniper

Goldman Sachs (GS) is revising its call for big box retailers.

In Tuesday's Analysts' Actions, Goldman Sachs is making a call on retailers and Bernstein is bullish on Juniper. Goldman Sachs (GS) is revising its call for big box retailers. Analysts there are upgrading Costco (COST) to a 'Buy' from 'Neutral' rating but downgrading Walmart (WMT) to a 'Neutral' from a 'Buy'. The firm is also raising its price target for Costco to $136 from $127 a share and adding the company to its 'conviction list' expecting Costco's earnings growth to re-accelerate. For Walmart, Goldman is keeping its price target of $83 a share and thinks the big box retailer's current strategy will likely cause lower returns on capital. Juniper (JNPR) was upgraded at Bernstein to 'Outperform' from 'Market Perform' with a price target unchanged at $30 a share. The firm says turnaround potential still exists and revenue risk is already priced in for Juniper. TheStreet's Susannah Lee has the details from Wall Street.
