Gold prices are slightly higher at around $1345 an ounce in early U.S. trading Thursday as the situation in Ukraine has for now changed from a serious geopolitical matter to more of a regional issue of lesser significance. Outside of geopolitics, the ECB left interest rates unchanged on Thursday, holding its nerve in the face of uncomfortably low inflation. The big market-mover will be Friday's February jobs report and traders are saying the metal will likely trade in a tight range until then.
