U.S. markets ended Tuesday's session mixed with both the Dow Jones and the S&P 500 index lower on the day. The Nasdaq managed to post a small gain. Gold was the big winner on Tuesday. It spiked above $1,200 an ounce for the first time since the end of October. In corporate news, Citigroup says it expects to spend $2.7 billion in legal fees in the fourth quarter. Abercrombie's CEO Mike Jeffries said he would retire and leave the struggling teen apparel retailer immediately.
