GM's Mary Barra Stays Focused on Putting Customer at Center of Goals

General Motor's CEO Mary Barra spoke at a panel at the Clinton Global Initiative. Moderator Chelsea Clinton said Barra has talked before about how it is in her company's best interest to interconnect financial and environmental sustainability goals. Barra said General Motors is really focused on putting the customer at the center of what it does and that having fuel efficient vehicles has become a business priority. As one of the largest car manufacturers in the world, Barra also said she hopes to cut her company's greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 and continue to invest in renewable energy as an alternative.
