GM Unveils New Cruze Hatchback, Disccusses Bolt EV at Car Show
General Motors (GM) President Dan Amman said the automaker is confident that its new Chevy Bolt EV will attract buyers, even with low gas prices. GM’s Bolt EV took center stage at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit Monday, after it was unveiled a week ago at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Bolt EV goes on sales later this year. GM also unveiled a new Chevrolet Cruze hatchback. The Cruze is GM’s best-selling vehicle around the world. Amman said the biggest risk for GM this year is a downturn in the world economy. He doesn’t see rising interest rates in the U.S. as a deterrent for car buyers, and he also expects another strong sales year for GM in 2016, after record-setting auto industry sales in 2015. TheStreet's Rhonda Schaffler has details from the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
