GM, Ford and Nissan Post Rising December Auto Sales

General Motors (GM) - Get Report reported a 10% year-over-year increase in sales for the month to 319,108 units. Chevy sales surged 12.8% while Cadillac sales rose 3.2%.
Ford (F) - Get Report clocked a 0.3% year-over-year increase in sales to 239,854 units, as sales for its popular F-Series trucks reached an 11-year high. Nissan (NSANY) sales surged 9.7% year over year during the month to 152,743, its best December ever, thanks to strong demand for trucks.
But Fiat Chrysler (FCAU) - Get Report sales declined 10% year over year to 192,519 vehicles, amid fewer sales to rental companies. Jeep sales fell 6.4% to 83,159 units.
