Global Stocks Defensive on Tough Rhetoric About North Korea
U.S. President Donald Trump said North Korea would see 'fire and fury' like the world has never seen unless it behaves. After Trump's comments, North Korea threatened to attack the U.S. territory of Guam, where the United States has a military base. Guam officials said any attack on it would also be an attack on the United States. The Washington Post reported that North Korea's nuclear capabilities were more advance than most intelligence officials thought. A car has driven into anti-terrorism soldiers near Paris, France. Reports say 6 people were injured. Police say the incident looks to have been planned and the drivers are still on the run. Priceline (PCLN) shares are under pressure on disappointing quarterly results. Bookings fell just short of analyst expectations.
