General Motors Reports 7% Rise in Auto Sales Despite Recalls

The nation's biggest automakers release mixed auto sales for April, with Chrysler and General Motors among those reporting the biggest gains. That's also stronger than the 9% increase expected for the industry, according to Thomson Reuters. General Motors reported April U.S. sales that rose 6.9% -- despite its recall of about 7 million vehicles since February.
