General Motors (GM) - Get Report shares moved lower Wednesday as higher tariff-driven raw costs dinged profits.

Matthew Cheslock, an equity trader with Virtu Financial, based on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, doesn't think the company will be able to pass those costs along to consumers, at least not now.

GM shares are down almost 11% since the start of the year.
