Gary Cohn is unlikely to be chosen by President Trump to replace Janet Yellen as the next head of the Federal Reserve, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Cohn's public criticism of the President's reaction to the events in Charlottesville is reportedly why Trump has soured at the idea of appointing his top economic adviser.

Donald Trump is reportedly considering a number of candidates to replace Janet Yellen when her term ends in 2018. Trump will also have to find a replacement for Stanley Fischer after the Vice Chair of the Fed announced he'd stand down in October.
