Ahead of Wendy's (WEN) earnings after the closing bell, we're remembering when we got a sneak peek into the future of fast food. 

CEO Todd Penegor is full steam ahead on trying to reinvent the ordering of the chain's fast-food. Penegor told TheStreet as sister publication, The Deal's, annual corporate governance conference that Wendy's will continue to roll-out ordering kiosks. It's also thinking about a fast pass lane for drive-thru customers.
