Shares of the Phoenix-based miner have risen 66 percent so far this year, helped by rising oil and metal prices. Freeport had long been hampered by more than $20 billion debt amid sliding oil and commodity prices, with shares sliding 68% in 2015, before rebounding sharply this year.
