Founder & Former CEO of Fox News Roger Ailes Has Died

Founder and former CEO of Fox News Roger Ailes has died at the age of 77.

Roger Ailes had worked as a consultant for Republican Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush and, most recently, as an adviser to Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election.

Ailes was an alumnus of Ohio University, where he majored in radio and television.

Roger Ailes started his career in television as Property Assistant, Producer and then Executive Producer for KYW-TV.

In 1996, Ailes became the founding CEO of Fox News, a post he resigned from in July 2016.

"I am profoundly sad and heartbroken t report that my husband, Roger Ailes, passed away this morning. Roger was a loving husband to me, to his son Zachary, and a loyal friend to many," said his wife Elizabeth Ailes in a statement
