Fortune Brands Reports YOY Revenue Boost on Increased Construction

Fortune Brands Home & Security on Wednesday reported earnings of $0.24 a share on $966 million in revenue, missing analysts' estimates of $0.32 cents a share on $993.81 million in revenue. The Illinois-based company posted strong third-quarter 2013 results, driven by the spate of new home construction in recent months. Fortune Brands says its improvement in its top line year-over-year was driven by new construction and the remodel market.
