Former Texas State Governor is Trump's Pick for Secretary of Energy
Ex-Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, is President-elect Donald Trump's pick to head the energy department.
President-elect Donald Trump has tapped former Texas governor Rick Perry as his secretary of energy. Perry, 66, was governor of Texas from 2000 to 2015. He has a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University. During a 2011 debate, Perry forgot the Department of Energy was one of the departments he wanted to cut. In 2015, during the primaries Perry called Trump a "barking carnival act."
