Ford's (F) - Get Report F-Series has been America's best-selling truck for 40 years.
"The F-Series has led the way in terms of moving into more innovations around luxury," said Todd Eckert, marketing manager at Ford Truck Group, referring to the F-Series' adaptive steering and capability to haul heavy loads.
Some 26 million F-Series vehicles have been sold since January 1976.
Eckert also said falling gas prices have helped lift F-Series sales. December 2016 was the best month for Ford F-Series sales in 11 years.
