Ford: Retailers will Compete with Technology for Shoppers' Attention in 2014
Ford Motor is out with its 2014 trend report on ten global consumer micro trends for 2014. Ford futurist Sheryl Connelly discusses the top trends expected to shape in 2014 and how they will affect what consumers will want to buy in the coming year and beyond. Connelly reveals that technology is one of the biggest factors in consumer trends for 2014 -- from shoppers' reliance upon social media for validation and their tendency to multitask -- which she says, isn't actually getting anything done.
