Ford, GM Fare Well in November While Fiat Falls Short
The big three automakers released their November sales results Thursday with Ford and GM faring well while Fiat Chrysler struggled due to troubles at its Jeep brand.
The big three automakers released their November sales results today with Ford (F) - Get Report recording a 5% increase in U.S. sales last month. Sales of its F-Series increased 11%. General Motors (GM) - Get Report sold over 197,600 cars in November to individual customers in the U.S., up 8% from last year. GM's November retail sales performance drove its U.S. retail share to its highest November level since 2009. On the flip side, sales plunged 14% at Fiat Chrysler (FCAU) - Get Report in November. The Jeep brand posted a sales drop of 12% year over year.
