Ford CEO Mark Fields Talks Innovation and Selling Cars in Cuba
Ford’s CEO Mark Fields says the future of the automaker will go beyond making cars, it will be about helping drivers get from one place to the next in the most efficient way possible. Fields says Ford wants to use ‘innovation to help solve some of the world’s most pressing traffic and congestion issues.’ But, Fields says innovation at the automaker will also be about ‘people coming together and implementing new ideas that others see benefit in.’ Apart from innovation, Fields is also excited about the prospect that Ford cars could once again be on the road in Cuba. Fields says Ford is looking closely at President Obama’s recent announcements and says, ‘When we get the green light to go, I think it will be a good market.’ TheStreet’s Ruben Ramirez reports from Las Vegas.
