Ford Motor launched 23 new automobiles around the world in 2014 but CEO Mark Fields says the all-new F-150 is the most important. The F Series pickup trucks have been the best selling line of trucks in the U.S. for 37 years and Fields hopes to maintain that dominance. Fields says, 'our approach in terms of maintaining leadership is through setting new standards through innovation, and that's exactly what our intent is with the new F-150.' The first F-150 officially rolled off the Dearborn assembly plant on Tuesday. A second plant in Kansas City will begin production of the truck in the first quarter of 2015. Fields says the new truck will begin to appear in showrooms in December and the marketing plan will not start until January when dealerships have more trucks in stock. Fields says auto enthusiasts will not see the truck in the Super Bowl but he says consumers won't be able to miss the messaging once It starts. TheStreet's Ruben Ramirez reports from Dearborn, Michigan.
