Need some new stock ideas?

How about taking a look at the tech sector?

TheStreet's tech stocks editor, Nelson Wang, and Eric Jhonsa, TheStreet's tech columnist, joined TheStreet's Katherine Ross to talk about the tech sector and Jhonsa's stock picks going into 2020.

Jhonsa penned a column over on TheStreet's sister site, Real Money, breaking down the stocks he's got his eye on

But before we dive into specific stocks, how does the sector look?

Overall, according to Wang, tech stocks--think Apple aapl, Microsoft MCFT, etc.--are hitting all-time highs, which means that investors may want to proceed with caution.

Thankfully, Jhonsa found some stocks that are still worth buying if you're looking to add a new position.

In fact, two of the stocks on Jhonsa's lists are recent IPO's -- Pinterest  (PINS) - Get Report and Lyft  (LYFT) - Get Report

On Pinterest, Jhonsa wrote, "Pinterest is still in the early stages of monetizing its 320 million-plus monthly active users (MAUs), especially outside the U.S. Its platform is a natural fit for e-commerce advertising. MAUs are growing at a solid double-digit clip, and the company is expected to be profitable and cash-flow positive next year."

Curious to hear about the other three stocks and why--out of the entire sector--Jhonsa picked these stocks? Watch the full video above for more.
