Fiesta Restaurant Group CEO Says Company Can Double or Triple in the Texas Market Alone
Fiesta Restaurant Group is driving 5-6% same-store sales growth in an industry where comps are getting tougher each year. CEO Tim Taft says Miami is the company’s strongest market and is achieving same-store sales growth by eliminating products to make the kitchens more efficient. Core markets like Orlando, Tampa and St. Petersburg have been rebuilt over the past three to four years, responding with 30-40%, and even 90% growth. The growth rate for Texas and Florida is sustainable and Taft explains Texas will be where the most focus is. In fact, he believes Fiesta can double or triple just in the Texas market alone. While the company is focusing on just the Florida and Texas markets, research Fiesta conducted suggests it can be in every market in the Union.
