Fibria Celulose CEO Talks Benefiting From Brazil's Weak Currency
Fibria Celulose chief executive Marcelo Castelli reveals how the pulp producer is benefiting from Brazil's weak currency and positioning itself for future growth. Castelli says amid more balanced supply and demand in the market, the company will be raising prices again beginning January 1, 2015 and increasing capacity in the second half of next year. As management has been postponing its decision about when to expand production at its newest mill, Castelli explains the company wants to add capacity but not put pressure on its current capacity. He says management plans to talk to the company's board and should have a decision by the end of the first quarter of 2015. Plus, he offers his views on Brazil's struggling economy and president Dilma Rousseff's promises to revive it.
