Ferrari is going it solo. Fiat Chrysler announced on Wednesday that it's gearing up to spin off the iconic sports car maker. The plan comes as Fiat Chrysler looks to raise around $61 billion of capital for future growth. CEO Sergio Marchionne announced Ferrari's planned spin off following the completion of Fiat's merger with Chrysler, which listed on the New York Stock exchange earlier this month. Investors are hoping the split will be a positive transition for Ferrari. The longtime Chairman recently resigned after a public spat with Marchionne.
