Ferrari Is Off to the Races, to Start Trading on NYSE Today
Ferrari is revved up and ready to start trading. The luxury automaker will start trading today at the New York Stock Exchange, under the ticker symbol 'RACE'. It priced shares at $52 dollars, at the top end of the range. It's a sign of the strength of its brand, especially in what's been a tough environment for IPOs. Ferrari will raise at least $893 million in the IPO today. Yahoo (YHOO) reported disappointing 3rd quarter financial results and said it would soon begin to use Google (GOOG) to power some of its search results and advertising. Yahoo took a hit in its video programming, saying it lost $42 million on its original shows. Chipotle (CMG) profit missed as sales growth slowed. Competition from other fast casual restaurants has intensified and fast food giants increasingly have emulated Chipotle's message. ADP issues its 3rd quarter workforce vitality report. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew takes part in a conference on prosperity hosted by the Center for American Progress.
