FERC Commissioner Has 'No Idea' If Barclays Will Reach Settlement
FERC Commissioner Philip Moeller says he has no idea if Barclays will settle on a suit the commission has pending against alleged trading manipulation by the bank.
FERC Commissioner Philip Moeller tells TheStreet's Joe Deaux he has no idea if Barclays will choose to settle on a suit the commission has pending against alleged trading manipulation by the bank of commodity futures. Moeller says they are waiting for a decision on a court venue change -- Barclays wants the case hear in New York instead of California. Moeller says many of its suits against banks in these cases are settled out of court, but adds that Barclays has the right to challenge this.
