Despite recent increased market volatility, the Federal Reserve should proceed with its plan to end its bond-buying program this month, according to Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren. While Rosengren told various news outlets that he believes the Federal Open Market Committee should end quantitative easing at its next meeting on October 28 and 29, he told Reuters that 'patient monetary policy probably makes sense.' He said, 'Certainly the events of the last couple of weeks probably give some credence to thinking about being patient as well as trying to process some of the movements we're seeing.' This, after comments from St. Louis Fed President James Bullard last week, who said the central bank should keep buying bonds longer than planned. TheStreet's Brittany Umar reports from New York.
