Top stories today: The Federal Reserve Chairperson is expected to be named, Constellation Brands will invest in cannabis and Lennar is buying Calatlantic.

Fed Chairperson To Be Named:

Lots of key events are planned this week. We expect a Federal Reserve Chairperson to be named, tax reform is moving through Congress, the Labor Department will release the October jobs report Friday and President Donald Trump leaves for a trade mission to Asia.

Constellation Brands and Cannabis:

Constellation Brands (STZ) , owner of Corona beer and others will invest $200 million in Canopy Growth, a Canadian marijuana company. Canopy Growth is the world's largest publicly traded cannabis company.

Lennar and Calatlantic:

Lennar (LEN)  is buying Calatlantic (CAA)  for $9.3 billion. The deal will create the nation's largest home builder, estimated annual revenue of $18 billion. It's a stock and debt deal and subject to approval by both company's shareholders.
