Facts You Should Know About the History of Walt Disney Company

The world's largest entertainment company, Walt Disney Company, celebrates its 91st birthday this year. Decades earlier, the legendary Walt Disney and his elder brother Roy O. Disney inked a contract with M. J. Winkler to create a series of short animated sketches, marking the formation of what was then known as The Disney Brothers Studio. Five years later, in 1928, iconic character Mickey Mouse made his cartoon debut in 'Steamboat Willie' alongside Minnie Mouse. This marked the beginning of a journey to become a media conglomerate, encompassing blockbusters, broadcast and cable properties, cruise lines and theme parks.
