One in every 13 people on Earth is on Facebook. Of its total user base, 63% engage on a daily basis. The average Facebook user has 130 friends and a third of all divorce filings in 2011 contained the word 'Facebook'. Starting in 2004, Facebook has had astronomical growth that has changed the way people socialize online. Original membership was limited to Harvard University students but quickly expanded to other Boston-area colleges, Ivy League schools and Stanford University, and eventually most universities in Canada and the U.S. Entrepreneur Sean Parker, co-founder of Napster, became Facebook's first president soon after Facebook moved operations to Palo Alto, California. Facebook's initial IPO was one of the biggest in the history of technology and the biggest in Internet history.
