Thursday morning, Facebook users across the globe were greeted with a message that read "Sorry, something went wrong." The social networking site crashed and was down for less than an hour on desktops and via mobile app. The issue was resolved by about 4:30am, EST. This is the second time the site has gone down this year - the last outage was in February - and lasted for several hours. With just under 1.3 billion users world-wide, outages were reported in Europe, South Africa, Australia, South Korea and India. There is no indication yet of what exactly went wrong but the company said the issue has been resolved and the site is back up and running at 100 percent.
