Facebook Is One of the Top Stocks to Own in 2015 and Beyond

Facebook comes in at #5 in this week-long countdown of the top five S&P 500 stocks to own for 2015. Surprisingly, Facebook is no longer a social network. Rather, it is the modern face of a monopoly. With 1.3 billion engaged global users, Facebook is leaps and bounds ahead of its competitors not only in size but more importantly in engagement. Roughly 63% of Facebook users visit the site daily, versus below 40% for its peers. Facebook users also share a tremendous amount about their interests and connections, making it an advertiser's best friend. With advertising dollars shifting online, and particularly to mobile, Facebook will be a big, if not the biggest, beneficiary of this seismic shift.
