For the week of February 2nd, we note the key earnings and economic data to start off the month. On Monday, President Barack Obama sends his fiscal 2016 budget to Congress. Obama is proposing to raise taxes by $320 billion over a decade on high-income earners. On the earnings front, we watch for financial results from Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM), The Walt Disney Co. (DIS), General Motors Co. (GM), Sony Corp (SNE), and Twitter Inc. (TWTR) throughout the week. We also look out for economic data including personal income, the EIA petroleum status, weekly jobless claims, and the employment situation report.
