European stocks are expected to close out the week with firm gains after global stocks hit another record and benchmarks in Asia traded at the highest level in at least two years.

Britain's FTSE 100 looks poised to open at an all-time high, possibly testing the 7,600 point level, with a 42 point gain anticipated by financial bookmakers IG. Germany's DAX index is priced for a 70 point gain while France's CAC-40 should add about 30 points.
