Etsy Will Soon Add a Stunning Number of New Products for Sale on Its Site
Etsy's CEO taking company deeper into the supply market.
The craft supply world rakes in billions of dollars each year, so it's no surprise that Etsy (ETSY) - Get Report wanted a piece of that.
Etsy already has 1.7 million entrepreneurs selling their crafts, but now with the spring launch of the Etsy Studio, eight million supply items will be for sale as well. Compare that to the 30,000+ items you may find at a brick-and-mortar craft store like Michaels (MIK) - Get Report or Hobby Lobby.
They also introduced a Shop Manager, which will help Etsy entrepreneurs track orders, manage inventory and view stats.
