Elon Musk Details Two New Tesla Models
Elon Musk revealed details about two new Tesla models.
At the annual shareholder meeting in June, Tesla's (TSLA) - Get Report CEO announced that the company was working with its "biggest customers" on the design of its new electric semi truck. Musk also stated that the new Model Y crossover will be built on a new platform and in a new factory, as the company believes it would be a "mistake" to "shoehorn" an SUV onto the platform of a sedan.
Tesla's CEO revealed he has high ambitions for the Model Y, believing demand for the new vehicle will exceed that of the Model 3.
"There are many major manufacturing improvements that allow us to build the car in a way that a car has never been built before," said Elon Musk.
