Economy Adds 215,000 Jobs in March

U.S. nonfarm payrolls rose by 215,000 in March, beating expectations of 210,000, according to a Friday report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Average hourly earnings rose 0.3 percent during the month. The unemployment rate came in at 5 percent. The labor force participation rate stood at 63 percent. TheStreet's Scott Gamm spoke with Ben Garber, an economist with Moody's Analytics, based in New York.
