Nearly half of the companies that make up the S&P 500 have reported quarterly earnings. 67.9% have reported earnings above analyst expectations, 11.3% were in line with estimates and 20.8% fell below expectations. When it comes to revenues, 54.2% have reported revenue above analyst expectations and 45.8% were below estimates. In a typical quarter 61% of companies beat estimates. Revenues were still struggling this week but there has been improvement from last week.
