Earnings Parade Continues on Thursday With Philip Morris, LinkedIn
Here's what's ahead for Thursday Feb. 4. The earnings parade continues, but here are the notable results to watch out for. In the morning, investors will hear from Philip Morris International (PM) and Occidental Petroleum (OXY) and after the closing bell, they'll hear from LinkedIn (LNKD). Traders will be paying attention to Philip Morris when the tobacco giant releases its financial results. Wall Street is looking for earnings of $0.81 cents a share on revenue of about $6.5 billion for the most recent quarter. Both the top and bottom line are expected to be down from a year ago. The strong dollar will also likely have an impact on the company's results. Some earnings drivers could include product innovation and strong brand portfolio. On the economic calendar, Thursday begins with a report on jobless claims and productivity and costs. Later in the morning, investors will get a report on factory orders. TheStreet's U-Jin Lee has details from Wall Street.
