Dylan Ratigan: Climate Disasters Will Help Create Distributed Networks
Jim Cramer and Dylan Ratigan go all the way back to the days of Jerry Brown's first stint as California's governor in the 1970's to discuss the need for a distributed network.
At the time Brown was known as Governor Moonbeam and predicted the need for the distributed network.
Today, Ratigan says efficiencies in the ways we produce and transport resources like power, water and food has only come online in recent years.
Ratigan described how other recent transitions happened like this:
"Pornography made the internet, it created demand that created the network and then all of a sudden it is Ted Talks and TheStreet.com and it's Tasty Trade, it's all these things. Marijuana made hydroponics. All of a sudden, I can grow the best butter lettuce."
Now Ratigan says that it's climate disasters in the developing world that will be the catalyst for the development of distributed networks.
